RICE SANDWICH ONIGIRAZU RECIPE - おにぎらずレシピ - COOKING WITH CHEF DAI Onigirazu rice sandwiches are a fast, convenient snack that you can eat without getting your hands messy. They’re a modern take on the traditional and extremely popular “onigiri“ rice ball. A traditional onigiri is a triangular shaped mould of white rice wrapped in nori seaweed with fillings such as pickled plum, tuna mayo, salted salmon or anything else you may wish to put inside. Onigirazu are different as the rice is not pressed as much as it is in an onigirazu rice ball. They are also cut into half so that the filling is visible from the outside. Chef Dai makes 5 onigirazu, each with a different filling. Please feel free to substitute or create your own unique filling!
