Pretty self-explanatory. The pickups convert the vibration of the tines to electricity the same way they do with electric guitar strings. I’ve found that a combination of finger plucks and hitting the tines with a small metal beater and running the signal through some multi-dealy gets the best sound out of this, but I’m still experimenting.
