8 minutes ago 🆘 London under water: more than 200 boroughs in distress after flooding!

The UK was hit by strong winds, heavy rain and flooding overnight as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning across the country. Amber rain warnings are in effect for the north east of England and east Scotland, while a yellow warning has been issued for the north east of Scotland. In the north east of Scotland, a council has urged residents to protect their homes from flooding, and holiday centers have reopened in parts of Aberdeenshire. Traffic disruptions are expected across much of the rail network in Scotland and the North East due to power outages and flooding on a number of lines. Heavy rainfall in Yorkshire has resulted in several flood warnings as the River Ouse is close to overflowing in York. Flood warnings are in effect on the River Ouse in downtown York, hitting “riverside properties“, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. A severe flood warning means “extensive flooding of facilities and businesses is expected“ and some roads will become “impassable“.
