The comments drew criticism from the hip-hop world, and Lord Jamar said that Nas is an irreverent artist that real hip-hop heads are protective over. During the conversation, Lord Jamar also spoke about LaVar Ball picking a wife to make basketball player sons, but the Brand Nubian rapper said that LaVar messed up when he picked a white wife.
