I restored BOMBED CHAIR from WW2

In this video I will restore a chair that was bombed during WW2, in Tallinn. This chair was made in Poland by the company “WOJCIECHÓW“ which is well known in the history of the Polish furniture industry, as it was the first Polish factory of bent beech furniture. It was founded in 1872 by Count Wojciech Poletyłło on part of his land in Wojciechów, where he had excellent access to the raw material, as the area was rich in beech forests. The company developed very dynamically, hence already in 1875. opened its branch in Warsaw at ul. Gęsia (on the premises of the former soap factory), where the bent furniture elements were delivered and only here, on the spot, they were assembled/screwed together and sold further. In 1884 Count Poletyłło’s company was transformed into the “Towarzystwo Akcyjne Fabryki Mebli Giętych Wojciechów“.
