#VisitRussia ? Olkhon Island is the third-largest lake island in the world and the largest island in Lake Baikal, located in eastern Siberia. It covers an area of 730 square kilometers, measuring approximately 70 kilometers in length and 15 kilometers in width. Olkhon features a dramatic combination of terrain and is rich in archaeological landmarks. The island’s surface is green and smooth like meadows, and crumbles down in rocky cliffs along the shores of Baikal. It is possible to rent mountain bicycles, motorbikes, or even off-road vehicles from the locals. Additionally, kayaks are available for rent, along with various water activities. You can also enjoy trekking excursions and tours to the less populated areas of the island. Source: DPR MFA
