Banana Cranberry Halwa | केले और क्रैनबेरी का हलवा | Chef Harpal Singh

You might have eaten various types of halwa, but have you ever heard of a halwa made with a banana and cranberry ?  Mildly sweet and chewy, this sweet dish is prepared using banana, cranberry , green cardamom powder, and last but not the least jaggery.  #BananaCranberryHalwa #recipe #halwa #bananahalwa Ingredient Quantity Banana 8 no Cranberry ¼ cup ¼ cup (chopped) Jaggery 150 gm Water ¼ cup ¼ cup Ghee ¼ cup 1 tbsp 1 tsp 1tsp Cardamom powder 1 tsp Almonds chopped 1 tbsp Pistachio chopped 1 tbsp Cashew nuts chopped 1 tbsp Method: 1. Peel of the skin and cut the bananas into small pieces 2. Put them in a mixer jar and grind into a fine paste. 3. Now make puree of ¼ cup cranberry by adding some water into it. 4. Further chop the remaining cranberry. 5. In a kadai add ghee. 6. In a pan add water and jaggery. Let it melt completely. 7. Now add banana paste and cook it for 15 mins on medium flame until banana paste becomes thick. 8. Now add cranberry paste into melted jaggery syrup. 9. Next add ghee in banana paste and mix it well. 10. Add the cranberry jaggery syrup. Mix and cook for 15 mins on low flame. 11. Add 1 tsp ghee for richness mix and keep aside. 12. In a pan add ghee, chopped almonds, pistachio, cashew nuts and roast them. 13. Add roasted nuts and cardamom powder mix and cook for 5 mins on low flame 14. Grease the mold with ghee add chopped cranberry, roasted nuts and transfer the banana cranberry halwa into it. 15. Spread it evenly and let it set for minimum 2-3 hours. 16. Once the halwa is set, remove it from the mold, cut it into pieces. 17. Banana cranberry halwa is ready to serve!
