The Story from the newspaper Kerryman Sat 28 Feb 2015 Human remains are lying exposed in one of Kerry’s oldest graveyards but there are question marks over just who is responsible for covering up a tomb which has become exposed to the elements. The macabre discovery was made by Castlemaine resident Peter Hill who was out for a casual stroll at White Church Cemetery with his dog on Saturday. The cemetery is just off the Killorglin road out of Milltown and Mr Hill sent a picture of the remains to The Kerryman, asking if more could be done to respect the dead. Kerry County Council said that the graveyard is owned by the Church of Ireland and is therefore not their responsibility, while council officials have reported the matter to gardaí.
