Living Intersex and Non-Binary (One Person’s Thoughts on Turner Syndrome)

Celeste is diagnosed with Turner syndrome, a condition that results in the partial or complete deletion of a X chromosome. I first interviewed Celeste two years ago and they shared that they are non-binary and prefer they/them pronouns. This upset some people in the Turner syndrome community because the majority of those with this syndrome are cisgender, and they believed Celeste’s interview was not representative of the entire Turner syndrome community.
