What Makes a Fight (For Me)

A breakdown of fights from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and why I think they work. Or don’t. I got a new mic! Can’t fix my voice though. New videos every two weeks. Thoughts as of November 2018: I would say I look for more in fights then just good structure. How Araki structures his fights is definitively interesting and it’s worth applying elsewhere, but what I wouldn’t have had the capacity to rationalize at the time of the videos was the thematic conflict of the fight. Watch “The Mid-Battle Flashback – Zoro vs Mr. 1 and Luffy vs Katakuri” for more of an example of what I like from fights these days. Also I’m pretty sure the quote I use on good twists was taken from Chuck Wendig but I couldn’t find it so I might be wrong.
