Naadam has existed for centuries, and is sort of a celebration of all things Mongolian. The festival focuses on the so-called “Three Manly Sports“ of wrestling, archery, and horse racing. There’s also a spectacular opening ceremony to kick off the festivities. But there’s so much more to Naadam than just the official events. Like airag, or fermented, alcoholic horse milk, which is super popular during Naadam.
