Against a substituted Democrat, Spicer worries a smooth talker could perform better than Biden. On Trump’s legal cases, he argues the left wants Trump off the ballot but sees no actionable case pre-election. Spicer found being Trump’s press secretary extremely challenging, learning to amplify Trump’s messages rather than expect Trump to follow comms plans. He sees the left as intolerant, demanding allegiance to their views, while the right accepts differences. He hopes for unity but doesn’t know how with the left’s rigid demands.
