Yet another Pride Month™ street mural driven over

The take me home, country roads of West Virginia, like so many places across the US, have seen their crosswalks and intersections painted with a brightly colored LGBTQ mural. And, approximately six seconds later, uncaring, homophobic transphobes had driven all over it. In one shocking example, this pickup truck heinously, callously, and with malice aforethought revved his engine and spun his wheels, leaving a small, black mark to the pink and blue of the trans part of the crosswalk, and a cloud of burning rubber. Huntington police say they are ‘investigating.’ You do have to wonder if for next year’s Pride Month™ they might find somewhere else to paint the gay murals, and not in the middle of the road.
