#858: The Age of Innocence/“Una Furtiva Lagrima“

My homage to Scorsese’s underrated masterpiece based on Edith Wharton’s classic novel, set to “Una Furtiva Lagrima“ from the opera L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti, and containing quotes from the source novel. As usual, no copyright infringement is intended, all music and film clips belong to their respective copyright holders, and there is no monetary gain from the making/publishing of this video montage. I only wanted people to become aware of this beautiful film. This is (sort of) part of the group dedicated to making videos for the never-ending, always-changing book “1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die.“ THE AGE OF INNOCENCE was on the list but has since been dropped in favor of keeping the same number of must-see movies and being replaced with more recent films. To that, I say screw it: one needs to see Scorsese’s romance far more than FORREST GUMP. So hence I’m adding it to the group’s films.
