Restored footage from 1896 of a boy playing a practical joke on a gardener by standing on the hose and stopping the water flow, and then releasing it and spraying the gardener with water. This short comedy film was recorded in Lyon, France produced by the Lumière brother and is called Arroseur et arrosé 3, with 2 previous versions also produced. The first Arroseur et arrosé was directed by Louis Lumière and featured Lumière’s gardener François Clerc and Benoît Duval but it is unconfirmed who directed and if the same gardener and boy feature in the 3rd version.
