How to Create a Diamond Clove Hitch/Square Knot Pattern in Macrame #macrametutorial #diymacrame

How to tie a diamond clove hitch/square knot pattern: 1. Begin with 10 cords hanging down (this can be done with less - it would just mean the pattern would be smaller & the square knot have less filler cords) 2. Holding the 5th cord from the left in your right hand, tie 5 diagonal clove hitch knots down towards the right-hand side 3. Take the new 5th cord across in your left hand and tie 4 diagonal clove hitch knots down towards the left-hand side 4. Using the 2nd cord in from the left and right, tie a square knot around all of the cords in the middle (filler cords) 5. Hold the right-most cord in your left hand and tie 4 diagonal clove hitch knots coming down towards the centre 6. Take the left-most cord in your right hand and tie 5 diagonal clove hitch knots down to the centre. The final clove hitch knot will use the filler cord from the right-hand row For more macrame info & tips (& for step-by-step instructions & photos on how to tie a square knot), check out the blog on my website: Grab your FREE guide “Reduce your Stress with Macrame” (plus Basic Macrame Knot Cheat Sheets) here: #mymumthedreamer #macrameknot #macrameknots #clovehitchknot #squareknot #diytutorial #learnmacrame #craftblogger #macrameideas #makersgonnamake
