The Vocal Range of Glenn Hughes

My usual channel for these videos: Generally an extremely revered figure among the rock ’n’ roll community, Glenn Hughes (from Trapeze/Deep Purple/Black Country Communion/solo fame) is known for his always-on-shape, flexible bright tenor and massive four octave vocal range. Able to handle everything from Michael Bolton-esque husky belting and Paul Stanley-like clean tone to softer falsetto and Ian Gillan-like screams, all while often playing bass as well, Hughes possesses an absolutely massive discography which documents his evolution as a singer well and features a variety of different guest spots, most notably with the likes of Tony Iommi. Although making himself primarily known as a rock singer, he has shown significant mastery on soul and funk as well, integrating these styles into his own, unique sound. After beating his substance addiction, Glenn has only seemed to be improving as a singer, which is simply remarkable - to put it lightly - considering his age
