Venous circulation. #shorts

------------------------------- Veins are blood vessels in humans and most other animals that carry blood towards the heart. Most veins carry deoxygenated blood from the tissues back to the heart; exceptions are those of the pumonary and fetal circulation which carry oxygenated blood to the heart. In contrast to veins, arteries carry blood away from the heart. Veins have less smooth muscle than arteries and are often closer to the skin. The flow of blood is maintained by one-way (unidirectional) venous valves to prevent backflow ------------------------------- #For_More_Do_Like_Subscribe_Share ------------------------------- #pulmonary_embolism #deep_vein_thrombosis
