Joy Fleming: I Only Wanna Get Up And Dance [Full Album, Expanded Version] (1978)

Joy Fleming (Real Name: Erna Liebenow), * 15. November 1944, † 27. September 2017, was a German jazz, blues and soul singer, releasing 25 albums over a career spanning 40 years. She represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Ein Lied kann eine Brücke sein (Bridge Of Love) which finished at the bottom of the scoreboard but became a cult record among Eurovision fans afterwards. In 1976 she released the disco single Are You Ready For Love which was followed in 1978 by a disco album I Only Wanna Get Up And Dance, collaborating with Donna Summer’s producer Pete Bellotte, and Silver Convention’s Sylvester Levay. The US release was titled The Final Thing and featured a different selection of tracks. I have compiled them all here with her legendary Eurovision entry to celebrate the legacy Joy Fleming has left us with. 00:00 The Final Thing 14:56 Feels So Good (To Be Needed Bad) 18:50 I Only Wanna Get Up And Dance 22:02 I’ve Stopped Believin’ In Believin’
