Italian dramatic tenor Giovanni Zenatello (1876-1949) sings Che gelida manina from La Boheme, composed by Puccini.
Famed for his portrayals of roles in the Italian dramatic repertoire, especially that of Otello, Zenatello’s voice was probably too heavy for Rodolfo, but I think this is an interesting version, even if his considerable talents were better utilized in more dramatic roles.
Recorded in 1908.
