★ 4K 🇫🇷 Argentan - Granville cab ride, France [Autumn 2022] BB 67400

In this video, we’ll be travelling from Argentan, a town in northwestern France with a population of over 13’000 to the costal port town of Granville. The line was opened in sections between 1866 & 1870, allowing a direct connection from the costal town to Paris Montparnasse. The railway enthusiasts among you may have seen a picture of a steam engine that overran a buffer stop in Paris, resulting in it smashing through the station wall and plunging down onto the pavement. The train in question was an express train from Granville. Watching the video, you might notice that the track bed appears to be wide enough for a double track line. This was in fact the case before a line renewal between 1994 - 1999 saw the majority of the line reduced to single track. You’ll also notice a large amount of stations that are no longer served. Apparently a stop at one of these stations is possible for larger groups, if arranged in advance. Our train consists of 2 diesel-electric locom
