Originally from the film, Friend to Friend Armenian Earthquake Relief (1989), directed by Peter Bogdanovich in efforts to promote and raise relief funds for the Armenians who suffered a 6.8 magnitude earthquake on December 7, 1988, which killed between 25,000 - 50,000, injured 130,000, and left 500,000 homeless.
The song was originally created by Charles Aznavour and Georges Garvarentz, and its English lyrics were later adapted by Paul Williams in this version.
Because there was no lyrics online that I could find, I did my best to interpret and write the lyrical subtitles.
