Ukraine: ’How are we to survive?’ Protest against NBU held in Odessa

Representatives of the ’Odessa Credit Maidian’ staged a protest outside the regional office of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in Odessa, Friday. Protesters are demanding the payment of foreign currency loans at the rate at which the NBU originally agreed to offer to people. This is due to the fact that the hryvnia has plummeted in value, losing around 70 percent against major currencies. The hryvnia currently stands at against the USD and to the EUR. ---------------------------------------
