A 200-Year Old Recipe for Hot Chocolate |The Best in History| No Talking

Delicious homemade hot chocolate from 1810. Hot chocolate used to be as common of a breakfast drink as coffee and tea. The chocolate of yesteryear came spiced with cinnamon, cloves, cayenne etc. & was usually mixed with almonds or hazelnuts. It isn’t comparable to modern plain chocolate. I’ll also make chocolate oatmeal from another 1810 recipe (or receipt as they used to be called). Enjoy!
