Roman Yakub “Dutch Lullaby“ for SATB Chorus and Piano

In 1997 I lived with my wife and my son in a beautiful house in the center of Amherst, MA. Browsing through the old images of Amherst in the book store, I found out that the famous American children’s poet Eugene Field lived in that very house, but 140 years earlier! I read his poetry and was deeply touched by it. My son was born and spent his first two years in that house, and this lullaby is for him and for 6-year old Eugene Field.
