SpaceX Starship Full-Pressure Deluge Test

SpaceX plans to test the freshly installed Starship deluge system below the orbital launch mount. After an initial activation test, the next test will work at full pressure to simulate the operation on launch day. SpaceX has neither confirmed any details about the test, such as the time or duration. The only confirmed fact, is the planning of the test today. The steel plate is cooled by a water-nitrogen mix, which will try to avoid damage from the force that the 33 Raptor engines of Booster 9 will produce on launch day. 24/7 Coverage: ⚡ Become a member of NASASpaceflight’s channel for exclusive discord access, fast turnaround clips, and other exclusive benefits.
