Amanda Maier: Sonata in B Minor Movement 1 Allegro

Amanda Maier (1853-1894) was a Swedish violinist and composer who was married to Julius Rontgen. She studied in Leipzig was a good friend of Brahms and Grieg and many other prominent composers. This sonata reveals a particular influence of Schumann and Mendelssohn. This is from our CD titled Scandinavia.
