Doomsday sky in Italy! A terrible storm has hit the province of Lecce, Parabita!

Italy continues to suffer from extreme weather. August 12 severe thunderstorms hit the province of Lecce. After an almost calm and changeable morning, a real storm with rain and hail hit most of the province. Gusts of wind reached speeds of 80 km/h. The towns of Porto Cesareo, Leverano, Nardo and Parabita were hit by strong winds that knocked down trees. In Galatone and Carmiano, as well as on several sections of state road 101, heavy hail fell. Local residents who left their homes were forced to take refuge in nearby places. The bad weather also damaged crops, especially vineyards. Also today, a flash flood occurred in the town of Scilla in the Calabria region, where the flow of water dragged cars and garbage for many meters.
