SpaceX launches first private spacewalk mission Billionaire tech entrepreneur Jared Isaacman blasted off aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket Tuesday to conduct the first-ever private spacewalk on Thursday evening. Isaacman, two SpaceX pilots, and a former Air Force Thunderbirds pilot will launch further than anyone since NASA’s Apollo astronauts in 1966 to an orbit about 1,400km from Earth.
