Azerbaijan Energy: ’Shah Deniz’ rig to supply gas across Europe

Azerbaijan’s largest ever off-shore gas platform, is set to become operational by the end of this year. The Shah Deniz off-shore rig will feed gas from the Caspian Sea to cities and towns in Turkey and in Europe. It’s part of the so-called Southern Gas corridor - a set of pipelines to provide European markets with more energy options. TRT World’s Ali Mustafa has gained exclusive access to the platform, as engineers put the final touches on the 29 thousand ton structure at Baku port.
