THE QUICKEST VW GOLF IN THE UK AND ITS RUNNING A VOLVO ENGINE

Joe Bristow was at doorslammers in his freshly tuned VW Mk3 Golf, entered into the 6 cyl class for cars with 5 or 6 cylinder engines. If you didn’t know already the car is running a Volvo T5 5 cyl engine making over 950bhp at 2.7 bar of boost. Also running a Quaife QKE45Z Sequential Gearbox and a Volvo/VW combination AWD setup. Joe ran 4 sub 9 second runs with a best of @ 162mph, only losing to Jeff Ludgate’s R33 in the semi final in a very close semi final race. At the time of writing this is the quickest VW Golf in the UK.
