[EN] I made a razor sharp wood chisel from a rusty file. With that brass handle it looks amazing !! It vas my very first time machining on the lathe, and i obviously made many mistakes. But it ended up right ! It did not involve any forging this time, just annealing the file at first and then heat treating it. The satin finish right next to the mirror polished faces it really something ! Now the blade can shave hair easily, truly razor sharp 😁 🔴 As always, don’t forget to subscribe ! [FR] J’ai fait un ciseau à bois tranchant comme un rasoir à partir d’une lime rouillée. Avec ce manche en laiton, ça a une gueule d’enfer !! C’était la toute première fois que j’usinais sur le tour, et j’ai évidemment fait beaucoup d’erreurs. Mais ça s’est bien terminé ! Pas eu besoin de la forge pour cette fois, juste un recuit de la lime dans un premier temps, puis un traitement thermique. La finition satinée à coté des faces polies miroir fait ressortir le tranchant, définitivement le genre de finition que je ferai à nouveau !
