Must Be Love by the James Gang with Tommy Bolin - the Elvis–echoplex version!

Must Be Love by the James Gang with Tommy Bolin - the Elvis–echoplex version! When Tommy’s dad Rich took him to see Elvis in Sioux City in 1956 when Tommy was four years and nine months old, the hysterical crowd, witnessing the first major rock tour ever with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll left an indelible impression upon Tommy. His father, not wanting Tommy to follow in his footsteps of working in the Sioux City meatpacking plants was insistent that Tommy was going to become a star just like Elvis! Tommy always carried a small photo of Elvis in his wallet and when it came time to do Must Be Love, Jeff Cook wrote the lyrics in a vacuum not really talking to Tommy or the band, but he was thinking about Elvis when he wrote the lyrics. So he sent the lyrics to Tommy and was not involved with the creation of the track. The psychic wavelengths were fully in tune as the band did it with a nod to Elvis in the way Roy Kenner did the vocals. Elvis was definitely in the building that day!! So this video is our mashup of all of those influences and a tribute to Elvis, Tommy and Jeff!
