Flares and makeshift barricades: Albanian lawmakers vote on new budget

Opposition lawmakers piled up chairs, released smoke, and set off firecrackers to disrupt parliament during a vote to approve Albania’s 2024 budget in Tirana. Despite the attempts to interrupt the session, the annual budget and other draft laws were passed by the lawmakers.
