Ray Charles - Hallelujah I Love Her So - Olympia 2000

This concert at the Paris Olympia was supposed to be a very special and emotional for Ray Charles. It was his 70th birthday; and it was his first tour in this new millennium. That night, (November ) Ray Charles was supposed to play with his “Big Band“ but due to an air traffic controller’s strike in Lisbon; the Band was stuck at the airport. So, Ray had only his drummer, a guitar player and a bass player for the performance. But they worked out a new show, set list and arrangements in the hotel room and came on stage late. The show went on, and what resulted, was a fantastic and a creative concert, with a rare emotion and sensibility.
