Spyro the Dragon Prototype (August 27th 1998) - Differences

NOTE: Throughout the video I referred to this build as the “August 27th Prototype“ as that’s the modification date of the disc (pretty much the burn date). However, the date on the WAD file is not known, so this really could have been built any time between August 24th and 27th. Naturally build dates are never easy to determine with certainty but I’ve settled on the latter as the build date I’m going to continue referring to it as. This footage is of the August 27th 1998 Prototype, an unusual PAL version of the game which surfaced on the internet a few years back but has only just been recovered. Built over two weeks after the final (NTSC) build date of August 12th 1998, this version is still incomplete in the sense that it was built less than a week before the final PAL build of 1st September 1998; as such many of the translations aren’t quite done yet and there’s still a few differences from both the NTSC and PAL final builds.
