Hoop La! (1930)

Introductory intertitle reads: “There’s a College over in America where, every year, the girls roll hoops in a race for a bridal bouquet - “ M/S of large group of female students in caps and gowns getting ready for the race to start. L/S of them all rushing down a street rolling hoops - quite a funny sight but unfortunately images suffering very badly from decomposition damage. “The winner is supposed to be the one who will marry first.“ M/S of one girl in cap and gown presenting a bouquet of flowers to the winner - also wearing cap and gown. They smile. C/U of the winner framed by her hoop. “The Grand Salute - to the Seniors.“ L/S of lots of women standing on a lawn in lines - they are all dressed in white. They all move around to make the shape of the year the film was shot - 1930. Note: this is one of the NFTVA prints made from our decomposing nitrate. Image damage is quite bad - probably unusable.
