Prague, Czech Republic / Prag, Tschechische Republik / Praha, Česká republika Live from Prague on Wednesday, March 29, where thousands of demonstrators have gathered to protest against the planned pension reform and the new Euro 7 emissions standard. Representatives of various trade unions criticize the raise in the retirement age from 65 to 68, proposed by Finance Minister Sbynek Stanjura earlier this month. They are also calling for salary adjustments for private and public sector workers in demanding professions. The organisers are expecting the highest turnout for a protest since the anti government rallies began in September 2022.
