Best Maui Humpback Whale Aerial Footage! Endless Breaching!

The breaching portion of this video is from the 1:05 part on! FOUR minutes of Humpback acrobatics! As most of you that have followed me on various platforms know, I spend most of my time whale watching in Southern California. It’s an amazing place to whale watch, as the variety of cetaceans we see is almost unparalleled with any other coastal habitat on earth! However, this was my first time visiting Maui during the Humpback breeding season, and I was honestly overwhelmed! The sheer density of whales here is staggering, and the amount of new calves was amazing! Everywhere you looked from the coast there was a cow/calf pair! Sometimes they would be by themselves, sometimes with an escort, and sometimes with other cow/calf pairs on what looked like play dates! As you can see in the video above, these little calves LOVE to jump out of the water!
