Father of boy killed by migrant wishes he’d been ‘killed by a 60-year-old white man’

The father of an 11-year-old boy who was killed in a bus crash caused by a migrant has said he wished his son had been ‘killed by a 60-year-old white man instead,’ so his death wouldn’t be used to advocate for border control. Aiden Clark was killed when Hermanio Joseph, an illegal Haitian immigrant, was driving without a license on the wrong side of the road. Joseph caused Clark’s school bus to crash, killing him and injuring 20 others. Following Aiden Clark’s death, Joseph was jailed for 9 years after being convicted of aggravated vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter. Now Nathan Clark is claiming his son’s death is being used to promote ‘hate,’ by the people campaigning for stricter border controls. ‘You know, I wish that my son Aiden Clark was killed by a 60-year-old white man,’ said Clark at a City Commission meeting. Going on to name JD Vance and Donald Trump among others, Clark accused them of ‘vomiting hate’ by arguing for tighter border security. Clark insisted that what happened was accidental. ‘This tragedy is felt all over this community, the state and even the nation. But don’t spin this towards hate,’ he said.
