Huichol Style Flower Earrings

The Huichol Beading Style originated in Mexico and it’s a type of beaded netting that is used to create colourful master pieces. In this particular demo I will show you how to make this type of flower design, using the Huichol technique, from start to finish. I don’t however; show you how to make a tassel in this video. If you’d like to see how to make a tassel, please have a look at my Candy Stripe Beaded Bead Earrings, or perhaps you’ve bought some from your local bead store, they’re sitting in amongst your stash and you’ve been wondering what to do with them. You don’t need to add a tassel to your flowers, you could add beaded fringe instead or you could in fact just leave the earring as the netted flower and nothing else to detract from it. You can use this flower motif in earrings or you could make one to use as a pendant or join a number of them up to create a bracelet. Materials used: 4 different colours of Size 11/0 Seed Beads. I’ve used: Miyuki 11/0 Special Dyed Bright Turquoise
