A Technique Exercise That’s... Cinematic?? (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced)

🎸FULL TABS BACKING TRACK AVAILABLE AT: Sign Up For A FREE 7 Day Trial For More Lessons Exercises! I’m always a fan of creating fun, musical exercises to work on technique and hand synchronization. This is a 3 part exercise that gradually gets more challenging as it goes. 🔴In the first phase, you want to focus on DYNAMICS. This can help with a fun “cinematic“ sound but also can be quite challenging to control the very soft dynamic of your picking while staying on beat! You want to strictly alternate pick across the two strings to feel a strong beat in your picking hand. 🔴In phase 2, it’s starting to get more challenging picking across multiple strings to outline the arpeggios. The shapes for the fretting hand are also more difficult with some wider stretches up nice and high on the fretboard. We’re still maintaining our alternate picking technique here. 🔴In phase 3, the most challenging section, we now have some very wide stretches for the fretting hand while also including a lot of string skipping. This can create wider intervals between notes which can sound great but also challenge your hand synchronization a lot more. I make these exercises long so that anyone at any level could take a small section, even 1 or 2 bars, and practice that alone as a technique/hand synchronization exercise. This is definitely best to practice with a metronome and you can download the backing track with the metronome added on my Patreon. Give it a shot and let me know what you think in the comments! #guitarexercises #pickingexercises #techniquebuilder #kieselguitars
