This beautiful Parrot is always a welcome sight in the open forests and Mallee areas especially around the River Murray. There is also a population in The South West of , they are at their most spectacular when seen on flight against a blue sky. Lucky observers may be able to get quite close as the birds are busy feeding on road sides and verges. I filmed these birds near the Murray River in SA.
