Today’s sound is /e/. It will usually be given by E in a closed syllable (as in bed, set or best), but you can also come upon it in words like bury, bread, guest, friend, said, many… It’s really a tricky one, and you simply never know when it is it. So, do check your dictionary more often. Let’s practice it! 1. Guess the best nest and be my guest. 2. “Let’s make less mess next Wednesday!“ he said. 3. My best friend’s breasts rest. 4.
