Terribly severe flooding in eastern China near the city of Hangzhou!

A severe flood in eastern China near the city of Hangzhou. Heavy rainfall caused a river bank to rupture in a local village, leading to a sudden flood that inundated residences and swept away cars. Images depict the aftermath — thick, muddy water surging through the village lanes of Dayuan township, invading homes, and overturning vehicles. The latter part of July in China is typically characterized by substantial rainfall; however, recent years have seen these weather patterns become increasingly severe and erratic. The northeastern parts of the country also suffered on Saturday, with heavy rain causing significant damage to houses, infrastructure, and destroying vast swathes of the region’s crops — a region known as the nation’s granary. Authorities had evacuated nearly 5,600 individuals in Liaoning province as several cities recorded rainfall exceeding 100 millimetres. In one district of the provincial capital, Dalian, 93 millimetres of rain fell within an hour.
