Hot Butter - Popcorn (Reimagined)

This is a reimagined version of “Popcorn“ by the instrumental band, “Hot Butter“. This track means a lot to me as it was the first synth based piece I heard when I was a little kid. I remember the feeling I had when I first heard it and just sitting there in awe, not recognising any of the instruments and just staring into the abyss as I heard all these strange sounds. Been fascinated by synthesisers since. I finished this cover just before the end of 2022 and I was initially going to upload December time but I thought it would be worth waiting till January this year. I love this track so much and it was an absolute joy to piece together. I wanted to keep the essence of the original, whilst adding my own flair. I couldn’t be happier with the end result. I used sounds entirely from the Logic Pro X library, apart from a guitar sound which is an edited version of one of the SynLead sounds from the DX7. It’s in there, I don’t no why but I thought “why the hell not!“ Hope you enjoy this little track as much as I enjoyed producing it.
