Emil Gilels performs Jean Sibelius’ peaceful Bagatelle, op. 97 No. 2 ’Laulu’ (Song), as an encore after a concerto performance. This is the only recording of Gilels performing this work, but it is a great joy that such a great pianist paid some attention to the sadly underplayed piano music of the Finnish composer.
