Wild Horse - The Rescue of Faith May 06, 2020

Deep in the Alberta Foothills, roam hundreds of Wild Horses. Coming out of a hard winter, we find many horses that have perished for various reasons. One of the common fates for a Wild Horse, is falling into deep spots in the thawing muskeg bogs. Fortunately for this two year old Filly, we were travelling the remote trail with our UTV’s when we happened upon her stuck in bog. This short video covers the 45 minute rescue event to get her freed. She was looking well enough after the rescue for us to feel confident that she will survive the ordeal. Without the intervention, she would not have survived the night. This rescue was just west of the Town of Sundre, Alberta.
