4-3-3 vs. 4-4-2 Diamond | Formation Tactics Series

The 4-3-3 is one of the most common formations, with a central midfield trio operating ahead of the four man back line, and underneath a front three. The 4-4-2 diamond benefits from the strong central midfield presence ahead of the back line of four, with two centre forwards high in attack. This video analyses how the 4-3-3 operates when up against a 4-4-2 diamond, & some suggested patterns, movements, & rotations in both the attacking and defending phases. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This video is part of the Formation Tactics Series, where we will focus on one specific formation in both the attacking & defending moments, when up against a differring structure.
