COSPLAY TUTORIAL: Ruler’s Boots from Fate/Apocrypha

Tiffany Gordon Cosplay’s progress shots of how she made her Boots for her Ruler (Jeanne d’Arc) cosplay from Fate/Apocrypha. ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ To create the boots, I first got reference images from the anime Fate/Apocrypha of Ruler’s boots. I then made a to-scale template in Adobe Illustrator of the boot covers (available on my website, link below). I then cut 4mm EVA foam for the base parts & 6mm for the swirly parts with an exacto knife. I next sanded all of my edges with a sanding drum & heat treated each piece with a heat gun. Next, I applied contact cement glue to my both sides of my pieces & waited for everything to completely dry before attaching together. To fill the cracks & seams, I used Kwik Seal & a craft stick.
